Campionato Europeo 2014 riservato al Cavallo Lusitano

LUSITANO HORSE INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP IN BELGIUM
ABEL (Association Belge des Eleveurs de Chevaux Lusitaniens) organized the Lusitano Horse International Championship in Belgium on 28 and 29 September last, at the premises of the Ecole d'Equitation de Gesves, Belgium.
There were presented about 50 animals in the Model and Movements classes.
The Champion of Champions title was awarded to CAMPEADOR (breeder and owner Luis Pidwell) and CUBANA (breeder Sociedade das Silveiras/owner Romina Steiner ) was awarded Female Champion title, having already been awarded this title in Holland during the last Lusitano Horse Festival.
In addition to these titles were also awarded the Otello Prizes – the best Lusitano animals born in Belgium:
FIDALGA-B (breeder and owner David Benoit) won the female’s prize (Prix Otello des Juments) and HABANERO-B (breeder and owner David Benoit ) achieved the best stallion award (Prix Otello des Étalons ) and also the Grand Prix Otello (Grand Prix Otello).
Once again this year the Belgian Association of Lusitano Horse Breeders organizes its Championships.
It is also the first time that Belgium will host from the 11 to 14 September 2014, the European Championship of Purebred Lusitano Horses.
The program for this long weekend:
- Model and Paces (horses must not have won medals in other competitions to participate in the European Championship);
- Working Equitation;
- Dressage tests (young horses, Small Tour & Big Tour);
- Dinner of the Association on Friday evening;
- Evening Gala on Saturday night;
